During the Corona Virus pandemic there have certainly been winners and losers, but one thing we have seen, is the huge increase in sales across all of our ecommerce businesses. Every ecommerce website we manage has seen between a 3 fold and 10 fold increase in sales. From purchasing wine or taking up embroidery to deal with the stress to the huge surge in DIY product sales to get the house looking smarter, not one of our ecommerce businesses has failed to capitalise.
To try and keep businesses flourishing, local councils have launched a number of Corona Virus grant schemes all based around encouraging businesses to improve their online presence. Each council looks to be doing their own schemes but are certainly pushing the grants and encouraging companies to apply. At MidWeb we work with Cheshire and Warrington Growth hub. They are currently offering grants for consultancy services as well as running their Business Support Recovery Program.
